Heel is built on the belief that animals don’t need controlling, they need understanding.

Heel was developed through a growing interest in understanding how animals learn, communicate, and respond to the world around them.

Born and bred on Dartmoor, Robyn brings together practical experience and academic study. Alongside almost 20 years working with both dogs and horses on the Dartmoor military ranges, she holds a degree in Equine Science and has undertaken research focused on the behaviour and management of Feral Equid Herds.

Her work is grounded in the belief that behaviour is communication, and that lasting change comes not through force or control, but through clarity, consistency, and understanding.

By helping people better understand their animals, Heel aims to create calmer, more responsive relationships built on trust rather than restraint.

“Behaviour is communication — and understanding changes everything.”
